The recognition and association with La
Femme Film Festival has proven to be an invaluable step forward for the City of
Gold animated feature project...Jeanne has signed a production agreement with
Sandman Studios in Orem, Utah. This is a huge step forward for "City of Gold" on
the path of raising funding capital for the feature.
"I wish there was a venue like La Femme every weekend so
that I could watch women’s films all the time. I am so inspired and
motivated. Through this experience I have also become more aware and
committed to really reaching out to support other women filmmakers." ~Rebecca Grace
LA
Femme, Inc's (lafemme.org) primary division is LA Femme Film Festival;
Foundation Films,
our other main division, is a distribution company open to both men and women
independent filmmakers seeking a more creative and out-of-the-box marketing team
to distribute their films domestically and internationally.
The chief business of film festivals is discovering emerging artists, presenting
alternative points of view, platforming films and filmmakers that have strong
enough legs to secure domestic and world wide distribution. OR AT LEAST THEY SHOULD!
Film
Festivals and their events have become a lucrative and powerful advertising tool
and some support particular groups. Our goal is to remain a step ahead of our
competition through exemplary programming, networking, and panel events. A
classic professional atmosphere will create a sense of 'opportunity' for
participants. Our operating credo is: "By Women for Everyone."
Thanks for visiting!
