Beverly Hills – CA October 7, 2013 9th Annual LA Femme International Film Festival announces their Special Screening line up with Celebrity studded Q&A after the screenings. “We are very excited to have such talent as Evan Rachel Wood, Brendan Fraser, Busy Philipps and Billy Zane along with the Directors and Producers in attendance for the movie Q&As it will make this 9th year very special indeed.” Said Leslie LaPage, LA Femme Founder.
All special screenings are hosted at LA LIVE Regal Theater Stadium 14; 1000 W. Olympic Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90015 with celebrity studded red carpet and Q&A for the “2 Jacks” and “A Case of You” screenings. “This special screening edition is presented to make it accessible to the public who want to really see and ask questions of their favorite actors and we have priced the events so that it is affordable to everyone.” Said Ms. LaPage (www.LAFemme.org/tickets).
Launching our screenings on October 18, 2013 (Friday) 8pm-10pm, is the feature “2 Jacks” (Director Bernard Rose) starring Sienna Miller, Jack Huston, Billy Zane, Danny Huston, and Jacqueline Bisset, is a fast-paced, glamorous and romantic vision of Hollywood then and now, a commentary on how time changes but human nature stays the same, along with the story of a son struggling to follow in the footsteps of his famous father. The red carpet will begin at 7pm and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with cast and crew; Julia Verdin (Producer), Bernard Rose (Director), Rosie Fellner (Lily), Billy Zane( Max Faraday), Jamie Harris (Colin), Richard Portnow (Lorenzo), and Dave Pressler(Brad).
Screening on October 19, 2013 (Saturday) 7pm-9pm, is the feature “A Case of You” (Director Kat Coiro) starring Evan Rachel Wood, Sam Rockwell, Peter Dinklage, Busy Philipps, Brendan Fraser, Sienna Miller, Justin Long, and Vince Vaughn is a movie about a young writer tries to impress a girl he meets online with an embellished profile, but he finds himself in a real mess when she falls for him and he has to keep up the act. The red carpet will begin at 6pm and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with cast and crew; Kat Coiro (Director), Evan Rachel Wood (Actress), Busy Philipps (Actress), Keir O’Donnell (Writer/Actor), Christian Long (Writer/Producer), and Jessica Neuman (Producer). “Wild horses” a short film (Director Stephanie Martin) starring Brooke Shields, Mirelie Enos, Barbara Tarbuck will be screening with “A Case of You” before the feature. This is a short about one woman’s intrigue of wild horses.
Screening on October 20, 2013 (Sunday) 12noon -2pm , is the feature documentary “The Eyes of Thailand” (Director Wendy Borman) with narration by Ashley Judd chronicles the work of Soraida Salwala and her team, who opened the world’s first elephant hospital in Thailand. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director Wendy Borman. The preceding feature is “Cages of Shame” (Director/Producer Martin Guinness) a documentary details a journey to rescue ten bears from a bile farm in China and a candid look at the people who are devoting their lives to ending the bear bile industry.
