Chris.CharalambousCHRIS CHARALMBOUS

Chris Charalambous has worked in the motion picture industry for over thirteen years.  He currently acts as Head of Acquisitions at Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media. Chris worked as an executive and producer at Pierce Brosnan’s MGM Studios based production company, Irish DreamTime.  Besides managing a slate of over 30 film and television projects, he worked on five feature films that were independently financed and sold to major distributors such as The Weinstein Company, Lionsgate, New Line and United Artists.  All films released theatrically included The Matador, Laws of Attraction, Shattered, Evelyn and The Greatest. He also worked at MGM Studios in theatrical marketing research, international marketing and theatrical production. He lectures on various topics in the film industry at UCLA Film School, USC Film School, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University and assorted professional industry organizations.

Peter Hoffman  is the Chairman and founder of Seven Arts Pictures, an independent producer and distributors of motion pictures.   Seven Arts has produced and distributed four features since its inception: Johnny Mnemonic, Never Talk to Strangers, 9 ½ Weeks II, and Shattered Image. Seven Arts also produced, in conjunction with Paramount Pictures, Rules of Engagement, Rat Race, and Hardball. Previously, Hoffman was also President and CEO of Carolco Pictures. Carolco developed into the world’s leading independent film company.  Hoffman pioneered foreign investment, distribution strategies, diversified distribution channels, and was largely responsible for the acquisition of LIVE Entertainment, Orbis Communications, the IndieProd Company and Vestron.  He was directly involved in the production of a large slate of independent motion pictures, including Terminator 2, Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Rambo III, The Doors, L.A. Story, and Air America.
