Narrative Feature Film 
This is exclusively for featuring films made in the United States or Internationally by women directors ONLY.
 
Documentary Feature 
Documentary Competition - films can be foreign or American in origin and they must be directed by women.
 
Short Film 
This category is open to any female producer, writer, director who has participated as a producer director, or writer.

Eligibility:
Shorts under 35 minutes are included in the competition. We will accepted Shorts over 35 minutes will be screened out of competition on a per film basis or shorts that have screened in any number of previous festivals (U.S. and International). Those screened online or that have been broadcast are not eligible for the Festival. Note: All accepted shorts will be screened on the LA Femme Film Festival website after the film festival is completed.
Producer Feature Film 
These Films will compete in for the best feature produced by women either in the United States or Internationally.
 
Best of Show Writer 
This category my be included with the other Feature Film categories above. We will honor the best screenplay written by a woman either in the United States or Internationally.

Commercial/PSA 
This category is for women who directed a commercial or PSA in the United States or Internationally.
 
Music Video 
This category is for women who directed a music video of any type in the USA or Internationally.

FINAL APPLICANT CHECKLIST
You will need to submit the following items in addition to this online application:
 
1. A 1/2' videotape or DVD of the film, clearly labeled with film title, director, contact phone / email, and whether the tape is PAL or NTSC (please do not send SVHS i.e. "SUPER VHS" tapes).
2. A film still, which will be used in the LA FEMME Film Festival Catalogue should the film be selected. (8x10 or smaller, B&W or Color, actual photo print - no slides)
3. A longer synopsis with plot points and a list of cast and character names. If available, full press kits should be included in your application package.

I, the Director of the film submitted with this application, agree to the following: I have read, understood, and complied with all eligibility requirements of the categories for which I would like this film to be considered; To the best of my knowledge, all statements on this document are true; My film is not subject to litigation nor is threatened by any litigation; I am duly authorized to submit this film to the LA FEMME Film Festival ("Festival") and its Competition, if applicable; I hold the Festival and the LA FEMME INC harmless from damage to or loss of the print en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival's possession of the film; I understand and agree to the above.
